Introduction

The Woodlands Family Counseling Center (“TWFCC”) is committed to maintaining the privacy and security of your personal information. This SMS Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your information when you opt-in to receive SMS communications from TWFCC. We use SMS exclusively for direct communication regarding scheduling, billing, and other administrative tasks. We do not use SMS for promotional purposes.

This data is collected when you consent to receive SMS communications from TWFCC.

Data Usage

TWFCC uses the collected personal information to:

Communicate directly with clients about scheduling, billing, and other administrative tasks related to your therapy sessions.

We do not use the information for promotional or marketing purposes.

TWFCC does not share personal information with third parties for their use. We may share data with trusted service providers who assist us in delivering services, such as our SMS platform provider. Message Frequency & Data Rates

Message frequency varies. Expect 1-2 messages per appointment. Message and data rates may apply.

As a client, you have the following rights regarding your data:

Access: You may request access to the personal information we have collected about you.
Modification: You may request corrections to any inaccuracies in your personal information.
Deletion: You may request that we delete your personal information, except where TWFCC is required by law to retain certain records.

Opt-In

There are three ways to Opt-In for consent to receive SMS messages from TWFCC.

All consent requests must be submitted in one of three ways:

Selecting the Opt-In box on the Contact Form located on the website.
By emailing admin@twfcc.com and asking to have Opt-In Consent for receiving SMS messages. A form will be sent to you by email to complete, sign, and return.
In person at The Woodlands Family Counseling Center. A form will be provided for you to complete, sign and return.

By submitting your consent and phone number, you are authorizing The Woodlands Family Counseling Centter to send you SMS messages and SMS notifications.

Opt-Out Instructions

You may Opt-out of receiving messages at any time by replying “STOP” to any message. Once you opt out, you will no longer receive SMS communications from TWFCC.

Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information you provide to us. However, no system is completely secure, and TWFCC cannot guarantee the security of your information. We encourage you to take steps to protect your own personal information.

Changes to This Policy

TWFCC may update this SMS Compliance Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the policy on our website.
